Bad week for the leaders

Joseph Bulmer

IT was a bad week for the top teams in South Molton Skittles League, with all but one of the divisional leaders slipping up.

Twitchen were the only victorious pacesetters, winning away to North Molton Wanderers to now hold a two point advantage over Burrington and Heasley Mill B at the top of Division 1.

Four teams are locked at the top of Division 2 following the rare home defeat of Mucking Fuddlers, with Brayford, Simonsbath Stars and South Molton Wanderers now joining them on 12 points.

The Division 3 clash between leaders Exmoor Allsorts and second placed Gin Trap saw the visitors leapfrog to the top. Colts kept up the pressure with the highest Division 3 score in nearly two years of 480 against Dick’s Devils.

Gin Trap are now on 15 points with Colts and Exmoor Allsorts both on 14.
