Borough go on the rampage at FC Buddy’s

HOUSE of Heroes stay top of the North Devon Sunday League Division One after a 6-4 win at Woolacombe side FC Buddy’s.

The Heroes are still the only unbeaten team in the division but they’ll have some way to go before they match the goal tally of second-placed Athletico Borough, who put an astonishing 18 past Rising Sun without reply on Sunday. Borough now have a plus-43 goal difference compared to the leader’s plus-12.

Third-placed Dynamo Buddy’s won 3-2 at Out of the Hat. Connor Nash scored two as Bratton Fleming beat bottom side REB Rovers 6-0 at the Tarka. Rob Scoines, Kevin Shaddick, Liam Monsell and Steve Zecchini were also on target for Bratton.

In Division Two, FC Wanderers went top after a 7-2 win at Fremington. Sam Aston scored six and Blake Humphries scored one for the new leaders, who leapfrogged a Georgeham side beaten 4-2 at Koogars.

The score at Rock Park was 0-0 at half-time and despite the Koogars being reduced to 10 men due to first-half injury, Mark Gilfillan hit another hat-trick to take his tally to 12 goals in the last three games. Tom Goldsworthy scored the other goal for the hosts.

Nico Pfeiffer opened the scoring for J&A Cameras from the penalty spot in the match against Real Tuff. Dave Mason soon made it two with a bullet header and Tony Burgess added a third as the Snappers took control of the game.

In the second half, Pfeiffer rounded off another flowing footballing move and veteran Jason Andrews made it five when he lashed home an unstoppable 40-yard drive.
