Air Ambulance lands in Bideford park

DEVON Air Ambulance landed in Bideford’s Victoria Park on Wednesday afternoon to pick up a man with heart problems.

The unnamed man was taken ill in Hartland and needed to go to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital specialist unit.

Bad weather prevented the helicopter from going directly to the scene, so the patient was transported by road into Bideford, where he was taken on board the air ambulance and flown to Exeter.
