Ilfracombe Town found the winning formula at Marlborough Park on Saturday.
The Bluebirds ended a disappointing run of two 1-0 home defeats with a 3-1 win against Street.
Matt Downing scored two in two minutes as the hosts stamped their authority on the match early on.
Downing grabbed the first on 20 minutes when he latched onto a long ball by Karl Baggaley and he scored a second from a corner kick straight after.
After the break, the left-sided player also had a hand in the third goal, setting up James Mayne to make it 3-0 on 56 minutes.
The visitors scored a consolation with five minutes left to play.
Ilfracombe will travel to bottom side Welton Rovers on Saturday.
Meanwhile on Saturday, Barnstaple Town were beaten 5-1 on the road at third-placed Bitton.
Barum equalised through Jamie Skinner to make it 1-1 at the break but Bitton pushed on in the second half to grab the win.
Barnstaple are at home to Bristol Manor Farm on Saturday and will play second-placed Bishop Sutton at Mill Road next Tuesday.
