MEMBERS of the Pilton Art Group have added some colour and creative flair to the walls of North Devon Hospice by exhibiting dozens of their paintings.

As well as providing an artistic touch to the building, the paintings are also available to buy, with proceeds being donated to the much-loved local charity.

Three pieces have sold this week, with the artists kindly donating 100 per cent of the proceeds to the hospice

Wendy Edmonds, hospice maintenance manager, said the paintings had gone down extremely well with patients, visitors and staff alike.

“Everybody is thrilled that we have a completely original collection of artwork on our walls now,” she said.

“They provide talking points throughout the building and everybody has remarked on the extraordinarily high quality of the work.

“The paintings are so diverse; we have everything from local landscapes to abstract pieces, in a range of mediums from oil paintings to water colours.

“We are so grateful that Pilton Art Group have loaned us their works of art, which have taken countless hours to produce.”
