It’s panto season in Northam – oh yes it is – and The Bright Stars Theatre Group are back with this year’s pantomime Dick Whittington and His Cat.

It opens at Northam Methodist Church Hall this Friday evening (January 19) at 7pm and the audience can expect a very bright happy show for all the family with lots of fun and laughter.

There six shows in all, with a 2.30pm matinee this Saturday and a 7pm evening show, plus the same times for Friday and Saturday, January 26-27.

The pantomime will be raising money for Shelterbox this year, following £1,000 collected for Devon Freewheelers last year.

It is directed by Michael Sale and Dick is played by Della Bealey, with Christine Johnson as Tom the cat, Gemma Carter as Alice Kevin Sampson as the dame, Glenn Bealey as the Emperor and Maggie Smale as Idle Jack.
