Celebrate diversity at festival in Barnstaple this weekend

Diversity Festival will be bursting with music, dance, food and fashion at Castle Green in Barnstaple on Saturday.

Barnstaple is hosting a one-of-a-kind festival to celebrate the diversity of North Devon.

North Devon Diversity Festival is taking place from 11am to 5pm on Castle Green on Saturday (July 23).

It will showcase music, dance, theatre, food, fashion, arts, healing and family workshops from around the world.

The festival’s headline act is Katy Carr & the Aviators, an internationally acclaimed Polish singer, at 4pm.

There are also several yurts hosting storytelling, tai chi, yoga, meditation, crafts, henna, face painting, massage, aromatherapy and more.

The objective of the festival is to raise positive awareness and acceptance of the different individuals and communities living within North Devon.

The free, family event has been organised by North Devon Sunrise and is set to draw in an audience of all ages, cultures and backgrounds.
