Postponed event back on at The Beggars Roost, near Lynton.

THE first ever CalvertStock Festival, postponed at the start of the summer, is taking place this Saturday at the Beggar’s Roost pub in Barbrook, near Lynton.

The free festival features a strong line up of live bands plus plenty of family fun, food and ales.

The event was rescheduled from early June after organisers decided it would clash with too many others during a busy part of the season.

It starts at 1pm and the line up of visiting and local performers includes Signify, Alexa De Strange, Odds & 8 Balls, Digital Natives, Despite Water, Antimacassar, Red Kite, Sam Chalkley and The Cygnets, plus 12-year-old singer songwriter and winner of Ilfracombe Birdman’s Got Talent, Kiera Osment.

The festival is raising money and awareness for the work of Calvert Trust Exmoor, which organises outward bound activities for people with disabilities.
