Otis Gibbs is performing in North Devon for one night only on Friday (Aug 3).

RENOWNED Americana-folk troubadour Otis Gibbs is dropping in at Pilton Village Hall this Friday.

Enroute to the Sidmouth Folk Festival and as part of the UK tour for his latest album Harder Than Hammered Hell, the Nashville based troubadour is in North Devon for one night only.

With rich rasping voice and wealth of original material inspired by life and places he has seen, Otis has been compared with the likes of Springsteen and Dylan.

His work has spawned countless rave reviews and set music journalists to drooling into their keyboards, with the latest album no exception.

Otis has spent the past 15 years travelling across America and abroad documenting this world and has a story to share about each stop along the way.

Harder Than Hammered Hell, is Otis Gibbs’ sixth album. It is also the fourth release by Wanamaker Recording Company, the East Nashville based independent label he started in 2008 with long time partner Amy Lashley.

The Pilton Hall show starts at 8pm and tickets are £7. To find out more or to book, call 01271 373392, drop in at Pilton Stores or visit www.hippycowboys.co.uk.
