Original and award-winning duo The Blackheart Orchestra are coming to Goodleigh Village Hall this Saturday.

British songwriters, composers and multi-instrumentalists Chrissy Mostyn and Rick Pilkington produce huge music and are often mistaken for an eight-piece band at first listen.

They blend musical styles seamlessly and are well known for producing music beyond all easily labelled genres - their multi-instrumental sonic landscapes have always been too unpredictable for pop, too adventurous for the mainstream and too plain weird for folk.

Fusing acoustic fragility and electronica, The Blackheart Orchestra bring together stringed instruments with 80’s synthesisers and classical influences.

They won the UK Exposure Music Awards Best British Duo and Rock Society Magazine said Chrissy offered ‘One of the most extraordinary female voices singing anywhere’.

Saturady’s concert will see doors open at 7.30pm and the show starts at 8. Advance tickets are £10 from 01271 346566. Hot dogs and pudding included. Bar available.

Extra tickets are likely to be available on the door.
