The popular FA Tesco Skills programme returned to North Devon during half term to run another free holiday session for the area’s youngsters.

Since launching last summer at the Sandymere Complex in Northam, the FA Tesco Skills programme has offered more than 300 five to 11-year-olds the chance to improve their football skills for free.

With the success the programme has seen in the area, Marcus Lincoln - team leader of the FA Tesco Skills Programme in Devon and Cornwall, has decided to move the full programme to the area this year.

From May, Mr Lincoln will be able to offer local schools and clubs support, as well as offering free sessions during school holidays. The full programme will create a pathway for children to play more football at the new FA Tesco Skills Centre, which is due to start on May 12.

The FA Tesco Skills Centre is an open access after school club based at Sandymere and will run every Monday during school terms.

The sessions will offer the perfect opportunity for children to develop their football and have fun with their friends, catering for all abilities in line with the FA coaching model.

To book any of the sessions, visit www.TheFA.com/TescoSkills. For further information, contact Marcus Lincoln at Marcus.Lincoln@TheFA.com.
