Three North Devon youngsters have been awarded their black belts in kickboxing.

Jamie Hinson, seven, Nathan Board, 10, and Rebecca Sutton,14 gained 1st Dan black belts with ASVA Kickboxing after three to four years of training and an eight-hours blackbelt grading held over a several months which included fitness tests, teaching and a final syllabus grade before reaching their goal.

ASVA hold classes from the age of four for ‘little ninjas’ to junior and adult classes, at its Martial Arts Centre at Unit 7, Daddon Court, Clovelly Road Industrial Estate, Bideford.

ASVA Kickboxing run by 4th Dan Kickboxer Jason Ashton and Tanya Hinson, who also teach MMA classes for fitness or for competition.
