Barnstaple Town 4-2 Calne Town
Barry Yeo began his reign as Barnstaple Town manager with a win over Calne Town in the Toolstation Western League First division on Saturday.
Barnstaple got back to winning ways after three straight league defeats with a solid 4-2 win, and took the lead in the first minute when Billy Tucker slotted home a penalty for his 17th goal in 18 games this season.
The game proved a fairly even contest from then on, with Calne equalising 20 minutes later before Town went in front for a second time just before half time through Jed Harper-Penman.
That spurred the home team on and after a good start to the second half, midfielder Jack Jenkins netted to open up a two-goal lead.
Calne again found a route back into the match but it was Barnstaple who struck the killer blow in the dying moments of an end-to-end match, Jenkins again the scorer to finish things off at 4-2.
Barnstaple remain seventh despite the win, but do have multiple games in hand on each of the teams above them.
They travel to Corsham Town on Saturday.
