Wrey Arms’ Devon Senior Cup adventure came to an end with a 4-3 defeat away to Mid Devon side Bow AAC at the quarter-final stage.

Wrey looked the livelier in the early exchanges, with no surprise when Josh Phillips put them ahead.

Bow equalised with a header in the 55th minute, but Wrey struck back when Dan Dayman waltzed down the left and squared for Simon Larcombe to score.

Sloppy defending was punished with another Bow equaliser before Wrey moved ahead again through a cute Paddy Weathers finish. But the tables turned again when Bow levelled for a third time on 85 minutes when Lee Capner sliced into his own net and they won it with another with almost the last kick of the match.
