Witheridge extended their impressive run of form to four league wins in a row with a 2-0 victory at Falmouth on Saturday.

Steve Ebdy was on target yet again for Withy, putting his side in front from the penalty spot in the second half.

Shortly after, the lead was doubled as Bassett headed home from a corner to put the game beyond Falmouth.

Witheridge remain fourth, but are within touching distance of Carlsberg South West Peninsula League Premier leaders Launceston on the back of an excellent run of form.

Withy travel to Cullompton Rangers on Saturday.

In Division One East, it’s now five league games without a win for Appledore.

The Fishermen fell to a third defeat in a row at home to Galmpton United on Saturday, losing by the odd goal in five.

Their latest loss sees them drop to seventh, ahead of their Devon Premier Cup tie at Plymstock United on Saturday.

Holsworthy were on the receiving end of a 5-0 scoreline as they suffered their eighth defeat of the season at the hands of Truro City.

The Magpies do, however, still have games in hand on many of the teams around them, starting with a trip to Vospers Oak Villa on Saturday.
