Keynsham Town 1-6 Barnstaple Town
Billy Tucker bagged his first Western League hat-trick as Barnstaple hit Keynsham Town for six on Saturday.
Barnstaple, who are still undefeated after eight games, were by far the better team in Bristol as they recorded a 6-1 win to make it seven wins and a draw in the league this season and eleven goals in two games after putting five past Newquay on Tuesday night.
Jed Harper-Penman and a Billy Tucker penalty put Town two up before Keynsham found a route back into the game with a goal of their own.
But that didn’t last long as Tucker got a second to restore the two goal lead.
Ryan Turner continued his excellent goal-scoring form to make it four before Tucker completed his hat-trick to make it 5-1.
And the scoring was completed in the closing moments when Turner was again on target for the visitors.
Town remain second in the Toolstation Western League First Division after Bradford Town beat Shepton Mallet by three goals to one, but Barnstaple still have a game in hand.
Barnstaple face Buckland Athletic at Mill Road in the St Luke’s Bowl on Tuesday evening, before a home league encounter with Ashton and Backwell United on Saturday.
