If all goes according to plan, Barnstaple Town should have their new manager in place by this weekend.
Chairman Warren Crossley told the Gazette that the choice would be made this week and that he was planning to introduce the new manager to supporters after this Saturday’s match at home to Bishop Sutton.
Town were without a Western League game on Saturday after a waterlogged pitch forced postponement of their scheduled match away to Gillingham Town.
It was frustrating, said the chairman, especially as the game was cancelled after they had got there, which meant people having to travel.
