It was Braunton who maintained their momentum with a 3-1 win.

Russell Harrison and Simon Townsend put the league leaders 2-0 ahead at half-time, but the second half was still in its infancy when Marc Bettis reduced the gap.

It was not until the final quarter that Braunton made the points safe when Harrison hit his second.

The man-of-the-match accolade went to Tom Honeybell for a momentous effort in the centre of midfield.

Brayford Cup

A fine second half brought Ilfracombe Reserves success in the Brayford Cup with a 3-0 win at home to Appledore Reserves.

There was some good football despite the heavy, testing conditions.

It was a 0-0 stalemate at the break, but John Woodcock put Combe in front early in the second period and Carl Power did the rest with two more, including a spectacular shot into the top corner for his second.
