A £125,000 refurbishment of the swimming pool at West Buckland School is set to be finished in time for the start of the new school term later this month.
Work on the 25-metre indoor heated pool includes the installation of two state-of-the-art, high efficiency wood pellet boilers, while the pool itself is being fitted with a new liner and anti-slip surrounds.
Modern and efficient heat exchangers to circulate the air in the pool building are also being installed.
Funding for the project has come from the West Buckland School Foundation, a charity which raises money for bursaries and capital projects.
