Torrie notched their third win of the season on Saturday

Cornwall and Devon Division wins have been few and far between this season for Torrington, who seem doomed to a prompt return to Devon One.

So a 7-5 victory over visiting Tavistock was a welcome relief.

Good interplay in midfield brought the opening try for Tavistock’s Mark Friend.

Torrie levelled with a Tom Gooch try. The same player kicked the conversion.

Torrington, 16 points adrift at the bottom of the table, have no league game this Saturday.

South Molton, who had no Devon One game last Saturday, are away to Dartmouth.

Ilfracombe make one of their longest Devon Two trips this season when they pay a visit to Old Plymothians.
