manager May calls for ‘more commitment’ from players.

BIDEFORD Nomads closed their season with a rearranged match against South Molton lls at Pathfields.

For 60 minutes Nomands were very much in the game, only trailing 10-5 and commanding the scrums.

Nomads lost wing Matt Underwood at that point with a damaged ankle and Molton were quick to take advantage.

South Molton used the space out wide to run in three tries in the final quarter to win convincingly 29-5.

Nomads had started strongly with a try from Peter Bowes in the first five minutes, but were pegged back quickly by South Molton who responded with two tries to lead at the break.

Austin Galt and Mike Bissett battled well in the Nomads’ pack with Matt Jones and Ben Shugar giving 100 per cent in the backs.

“Nomads will be looking for a stronger 2004/15 season with a greater commitment from players if they are to become the competitive squad of previous years,” said team manager Stuart May.
