Barim battled back from 34-10 down to earn a four-try bonus point last Saturday
Barnstaple welcome Clifton to Pottington Road on Saturday smarting from a 41-31 National League Two South defeat at Canterbury.
Barum left too much to do after going 34-10 down coming up to the hour mark, but gave it their best shot.
Canterbury, fresh from their win over Old Reds, pulled away in the 20 minutes either side of half time.
Barnstaple had been 10-5 up at one stage, Jordan Petherbridge converting a penalty and a Jarred Hayler try, but by half-time Canterbury led 19-10.
Converted tries by Will Farris, then Harry Sayers gave Canterbury a seemingly unassailable 34-10 lead.
Back came Barum with a self-converted try by Petherbridge, who added the extras to a second try by flanker Hayler two minutes later.
At 34-24 to Canterbury, the next score was going to be critical and it was the home side who bagged it to go 41-24 up.
Barnstaple were not finished yet though and in stoppage time scored a fourth try through prop Danny Southworth to snatch a bonus point to console them on the long trip home.
