Bideford U16s 17-3 Okehampton

BIDEFORD’S home game against Camborne in South West One was an early victim of the bad weather over the weekend.

Bideford will be hoping for better luck with the weather this Saturday when they go to Chard.

BIDEFORD U16s beat Okehampton 17-3 to open the Fishermen’s Cup second phase with a win.

The game was played at Torrington as King George’s was out of bounds due to waterlogging.

It was 7-3 to Bideford at half time thanks to a Hector Burt try converted by Reece Pearn.

Fraser Priest dashed through for a second Bideford try with Pat Kendrick supplying the third five minutes from time.

Bideford face a tricky trip to Newton Abbot this Sunday. The All Whites were runners-up in the South pool before Christmas, which qualified them for the top group in the second phase.
