Bideford in danger of falling into fight for South West One survival after Okehampton defeat

Defeat means Bideford are still searching for their first win since October 28.
Bideford are in danger of drifting into relegation danger if they don’t snap out of their losing run soon.
That’s the warning from team manager Bradley Goaman after the 25-10 home defeat by Okehampton.
Bideford go to Teignmouth this Saturday two places and three points clear of the drop spots in Tribute South West One West. They have only won once in their last 10 games.
Goaman said although there are mitigating factors contributing to Bideford’s position, not all of them are out of their control.
“We had five key players away, which did not help, but we had three yellow cards in the second half which killed us,” said Goaman.
“Our discipline needs to improve because it is costing us games.
“We had three try scoring opportunities which we did not take, one just before half time and two in the second half.
“We are good enough to stay in this division but need to start winning games or we will be fighting to stay in it.”
Matt Dennis and Alex Priest were the Bideford try scorers. Centre Rob Elliott was voted man of the match.
