Barnstaple will play three warm-up matches before they begin their second season in the fourth tier of English rugby

Barnstaple have revealed their pre-season schedule as they prepare for their second season in National League Two South.

Barum will play three games in the run-up to their sophomore campaign in the fourth tier of English rugby, which begins on September 2.

The three friendlies will see them play National Three South West sides Hornets, Brixham and Newton Abbot.

A home fixture against Brixham, which kicks off at 2.30pm at Pottington, is sandwiched between the games in Weston-super-Mare on August 12 and at Newton Abbot on August 26.

Barnstaple will begin their National Two campaign with a 400-mile round trip to newcomers Wimbledon, who were promoted from the National Three South East.

Their first home game of the season sees them welcome Redruth to Pottington on September 9.
