Traniing sessions to start in April

North Devon’s first-ever baseball team is on the lookout for new players.

The new team will be based in Bideford and is being set up by Exeter Spitfires Ball Club, with colours and a name still to be finalised.

The club are calling on all over 16s, whether complete novices or veterans of the sport, to assemble at King George V playing fields at Park Lane on April 26 for the first training session.

The session will run from 6-8pm, with all equipment, qualified coaches and insurance provided by Exeter Spitfires.

Training will run every week, at just £4 per two-hour session.

The new team will be entered into end of season tournaments with Exeter, Taunton, Torbay, Bristol and Plymouth, before entering the league later in 2014.
