CFND take three of the top 10 places at Kernow competition

CrossFit North Devon’s girls claimed a fantastic one-two at the CrossFit Kernow competition this weekend.

Three teams travelled to Cornwall on Sunday to compete in two workouts against other teams from throughout the South West.

The teams first took part in a strength test of ‘hang power’ cleans before taking part in a 15 minute met con workout, consisting of three rounds of 500m row, 30 16kg kettle bell swings, 20 30kg push press and 10 box jumps finished with maximum burpees over rower in remaining time.

Two of the North Devon teams made the final which saw them do 50 wall balls, 50 sumo deadlift high pulls, 50 down ups, 50 pull ups and 200 double unders. During this time, one of the team had to hang from a bar while the other completed the movements.

Caroline Gilbert and Kathleen Spears finished in an amazing time of 11.20mins shortly followed by Olivia Bickle and Sarah Plumb. Zoe Young & Karen Scott also secured a top 10 finish in seventh to cap an excellent day for CrossFit North Devon.
