WITH Fremington again on cup duty, Northside Atlantic took advantage to move six points clear in Intermediate One with a 3-1 win at home to Hartland.
They were 3-0 up within 15 minutes thanks to goals by Carl Armstrong, Tom Gleeson and Junior Santos and never looked back, although Hartland pulled one back through Mark Rothwell just before half-time.
Landkey’s James Jackson hit five goals to steer them to an 8-2 win at home to Woolsery Reserves. Tarrant Wotton, Eddie Harvey and Charlie Griffiths scored the others. Despite being 4-0 behind a determined Woolsery pulled back to 4-2 before Landkey pulled away again.
Braunton 3rds and AFC Anchor fought out a close, goal-filled, encounter with Braunton finally taking the spoils 5-3.
Wayne Thomas, Callum Norman, Ben Whitecross (2) and Dan Goodman scored for Braunton and Matt Kelly, Joe Cann and James Rees for Anchor.
Woolacombe and Equalizers also shared a goalfest before Woolacombe won through 4-3.
Woolacombe took the lead, only for Equalizers to go 2-1 up with goals by Greg Norman and Darren Floyde before the break. The tables turned again as Woolacombe equalised with a penalty and then went 3-2 up. Darren Floyde brought Equalizers equal once again before Woolacombe grabbed their winner.
After not playing for four weeks, manager Andrew Lynch and his brother Adrian were forced to play for Equalizers- their combining age of 103 in the back four.
Putford Reserves were 2-0 winners at home to Clovelly.
Bratton Fleming Reserves beat Chittlehampton Reserves 4-3 in Intermediate Two . there was never more than one goal between them as Neil Tweedie (2), Tim Prouse and debutant Dan Parkhouse scored for Bratton and Mark Heal (2) and Sam Gratton for Chittle.
Fremington Reserves were 1-0 winners away to Buckland Brewer with a goal by Paul Freeman early in the second half.
Northam Lions 3rds beat North Molton 3rds 5-2 with goals by Ali Bright (2), Ashley Short, Mark Hallett and Sean Wenham.
