Bideford AFC Youth given grant funding
BIDEFORD AFC Youth has received a cheque for £250 from Northam Town Council at the annual community grants evening.
Club captain Aiden Barnes and girls’ captain Megan Stone attended the ceremony at the council offices, where a number of voluntary organisations received funding.
Club secretary Neil Blackburn said: “Grant funding is essential to help us in keeping competitive football affordable for children.
“Because we don’t yet own our own facility, we have to pay each week for facilities.
Now in its third season, the club has around 160 members, with more squads planned for next year.
