Good results at Masters County Challenge

A handful of badminton players from North Devon represented Devon at the Masters County Challenge in Bournemouth and Andover.

Ricky Allin, of Kenwith Badminton Club in Bideford, was part of the winning 50-55 age group team in Andover, while High Bickington Badminton Club’s Mandy Raasch-Sotinwa and Darren Frisby played in the 40-45 age group in Bournemouth. Despite losing their male county player just before the two-day tournament, they still managed a great victory over Middlesex to help them stay in division 1B.

Sue Isaac of Halwill Badminton Club took part in the 45-50 category, who also did enough in their six matches to remain in division 1B.
