The six free sessions are available to children in school years four-to-six and their parents.

North Devon’s hockey clubs are joining forces to welcome newcomers to the sport.

North Devon and Taw Valley hockey clubs will be offering free taster sessions to both children and adults, perfect for anyone inspired by the success of the Team GB women at the Olympics in Rio last year.

The sessions are available to children in school years four-to-six, and their parents.

Newcomers and experienced players are all welcome to try the sessions at Park School, which run every Tuesday evening from June 13.

Organiser Nick Howells said: “The GB Olympic gold has inspired many players young and old, and memberships have increased across clubs.

“Let these sessions inspire you. They will be a fun way to get fit, learn new skills and meet new friends.”

Sticks are provided, but participants will need a mouth guard and shin pads for the sessions.

In order to book a place as an adult or for a child, or for more information, contact Nick on 07929 058926 after 5pm.
