North Devon Gymnastics Club at the International Festival Del Sole in Riccione, Italy

The gymnasts performed at the International Festival Del Sole in Riccione, Italy.

There was international acclaim for North Devon Display Gymnastics Club as they performed at the 13th International Festival Del Sole.

The 25-strong team of seven to 22 year-olds represented the UK.

The event, which took place in Roccione, Italy, featured gymnasts from all over the world, including champions from

North Devon’s action packed James Bond themed routine wowed the crowds in Riccione, with a mixture of tumbles, balances and dance sequences.

The festival culminated with the club performing to a crowd of more than 5,000 at the closing ceremony.

Head Coach Rattie Gordon said: “This has been an amazing experience for the gymnasts and a huge honour to represent their country doing the sport they love.

“They have done their club and their country proud and I’m very proud of all the hard they have put in over the months of training.

“The community have also been an amazing support, helping us to raise funds and donating towards the kit.”
