Outstanding individuals or groups can be nominated online
Nominations for the 2014 Devon Sports Awards are now open.
Following the success of last year’s event, Active Devon will continue to work in partnership with the Exeter Foundation, and the awards for exceptional individuals and groups in Devon will now be known as The Exeter Foundation Devon Sports Awards.
Active Devon Chief Executive Matt Evans said: “I’m sure that everyone involved in Devon’s sporting community will know a club, volunteer or performer whose achievements are worthy of recognition and I urge you to get those nominations in so that the 2014 Exeter Foundation Devon Sports Awards will be the best ever.”
This will be Active Devon’s eleventh Devon Sports Awards which can already count many successful and esteemed athletes amongst its award winners, such as Exeter Chiefs rugby player and 2013 winner Tom Johnson, 2010 winner and Olympic fencing champion Gyorgy Felletar and 2009’s winner, Robin Brew, who coached Olympic silver medallist Heather Fell.
There are ten categories to nominate against this year, plus the Outstanding Contribution Award taken from category winners.
Nomination forms are available at www.activedevon.org/awards2014 and the ceremony will be a star-studded event held at Sandy Park stadium.
