Evolution motocross comes to Torrington this spring with the Torridge and District Motor Cycle Club hosting a high profile national event at its circuit at Waggadon Farm.
The club is holding Round 1 of the Dave Thorpe EVO Series and Round 2 of the Pre-83 125cc British Championship on Sunday, April 22, with twinshock and modern machines also running as support events.
This is the 30th anniversary year of the circuit, so the club is keen to make this event one to remember.
The Super EVO final will take the top 13 riders from the Dave Thorpe 125cc, 250cc, 500cc classes and put them together in one race.
Entry forms are available to download from either www.torridge-districtmcc.co.uk or www.dtevoseries.co.uk, but entries to the Dave Thorpe and Pre-83 classes are for registered riders only. The twinshock and modern groups are open to all, but limited to 40 riders per class.
The Torridge Club is running a competition to win free entry passes to the event, with five pairs of tickets up for grabs.
To be in with a chance of winning, just answer this question: Dave Thorpe won three 500cc World Motocross titles, but in what years did he win them?
E-mail your answer with your name, age and address to Torridgemcc@aol.co.uk. Entries will close on April 11th with the winners being notified by e-mail .
The club is looking for sponsors for this event and for individual races and also for marshals. For more information contact Mark Osborne on 07855 954790 or e-mail torridgemcc@aol.co.uk
