Gold for Samuel Hill and bronze for Lucy Vizor
Two members of Riverside Judo Club brought medals back from the Welsh Nationals last week.
The Barnstaple and Umberleigh based club took one boy and one girl to the only national competition with an upper age limit, 18, and both performed impressively.
Samuel Hill took the gold in the boys under-50kg category, winning all of his fights by ippon.
This is the highest score attainable in judo, and Hill won all of his fights in double quick time - one fight lasted just six seconds.
Lucy Vizor won a fine bronze in an amalgamated weight category.
Despite giving away up to seven kilos in some of her fights, she fought extremely well and brought another medal back from the British Judo Council national competition.
