Despite suffering from asthma, businessman Mark Singer from Landcross is hoping to complete London marathon.
Mark, who has had asthma since he was a teenager, decided to run the marathon in his 50th year to generate funds for the Asthma UK charity.
He has been in training for many months by running and sometimes cycling up and down the Tarka Trail.
Mark is a passionate Everton football fan and, as a dare, family members have offered to double their donations if he runs the marathon in a Liverpool kit!
More than five million people in this country suffer with some form of asthma and more than a thousand a year in the UK die from it, Mark points out.
Anyone who would like to help him by providing sponsorship can donate online at www.viginmoneygiving.com/marksinger.
