Little boats do battle despite stormy weather

MEMBERS of the Bideford Model yacht Club reported a lake ‘like the Atlantic’ for their latest series of racing at Tamar Lake.

But the brave little boats managed the conditions and there were no serious incidents.

The racing resulted in a close finish, with George Evans and Doug Penman tied in first place, followed by Clive Charles in second,Brian Lewarne third, Dave Redman fourth and Roger Greening fifth.
