Braunton’s Lilli Fiddes is leading the British Showjumping South West Junior Club League.

The 12-year-old, riding Miradays Luigi, leads the 70cm league with 45 points.

The club league offers riders the opportunity to compete in classes ranging from 70cm to 100cm, with the aim of qualifying for the National Championships in Warwickshire this summer.

Lilli is extremely excited to be heading the league and is determined to stay at the top.

Describing the season so far, Lilli said: “I’m having the best year so far. Riding at the Championships last year was the best experience of my life”.

Lilli also competes for her school equestrian team at Braunton Academy in the British Showjumping Just for Schools League and is hoping to qualify for the Championships, both as an individual and a team member.

On the subject of Miradays Luigi, Lillie said: “He’s the best pony I’ve ever ridden, every ride is amazing and I’ve never had a bad day with him.”
