The Instow-based outfit won the Premier Division last season and in the absence of outgoing captain Mike Hedden the club sent Overton along to collect the silverware.

They also won the Premier club of the year award and Overton collected that cup and a cheque for £100 as well.

Overton then picked up the Young Player of the Year award, given jointly to him and twin brother Craig for their achievements with North Devon, Somerset 2nd XI, Devon and the England U19s last month.

Jamie was due to be on tour with England in Bangladesh with Craig when the awards were handed out, but had to drop out of the squad due to injury. The consolation prize was getting his hands on a cup previously won by future England stars Mark Lathwell and Chris Read.

Bideford were named C Division Club of the Year, which meant a trip to the trophy table for Andy Davies to collect a cup and a cheque for £100.

Filleigh chairman Andrew Collier was presented with the E Division champions’ trophy and Steve Moore of Barnstaple took the award for B Division Captain of the Year.
