There is still time to enter the third Ilfracombe triathlon taking place on Sunday 7 September.

THERE is still time to enter the Ilfracombe triathlon on Sunday 7 September but places are filling fast.

It will be the third event organised by the North Devon Triathletes club with more than 200 participants expected to attend.

Triathletes will have to contend with a 400m swim through a sheltered harbour followed by a scenic 25K cycle on the edge of Exmoor.

The final 6K will feature a combination of off and on road running before finishing in Ilfracombe.

Safety boats will be on hand during the day and the club are offering open water swim sessions to help Triathletes prepare for the challenge.

The organisation is encouraging newcomers to get involved.

Chairman Damian Railston said, “This is a sprint triathlon so is within the reaches of novices and will also appeal to experienced triathletes who want to challenge themselves against the North Devon rolling landscape.”

Individual entry is £40, relay teams can enter for £57 per team.

Online entry can be made at www.ilfracombetri.co.uk
