Barnstaple put in a brave performance against second-placed Cadbury Heath but were ultimately well-beaten by the high-flying newly-promoted side.
Barum held the visitors until two minutes after the break when Rob Scott applied the finish to George Boon’s free-kick.
Boon was provider again in the 67th minute although this time his cross was met by Joe Chandler’s powerful header.
And it was the boot of Boon once more that helped wrap up the points for Heath five minutes later, Matt Huxley connecting to head home the third.
Barnstaple Town were playing Willand Rovers last night (Tues). On Saturday, they travel to Bristol Manor Farm.
