HARTLAND have made it to the Buddens Westinsure Devon Intermediate Cup final after a thrilling 4-3 semi-final triumph over West Blake Bearne Reserves.

Dominic Allen scored the all-important fourth goal for Hartland, who showed real determination to overcome their opponenets in a closely-contested cup tie.

Hartland will be hoping to go one better than fellow North Devon League side Northside Atlantic, who were well beaten in last year’s final.

The Intermediate One club will face the winners of Bar Sol Ona versus Otterton in the final on April 24 following a tightly-contested semi with Newton Abbot-based WBB.

Hartland prevailed by the odd goal in seven on Saturday to set up a big day out at the Devon FA HQ in Newton Abbot.

But it wasn’t to be for Park United, who fell at the penultimate hurdle in the Firewatch Devon Senior Cup.

Park were beaten 6-2 by Exwick Villa Reserves in their semi-final clash, and will not be heading down to Newton Abbot for the cup final.

Exwick will battle Dartmouth for the Senior Cup.
