LIBERAL Fliers slipped to only their fourth defeat in 21 Bideford Snooker League matches this week, allowing clubmates Liberal Slickers to close the gap on them at the top of Division 1.

Fliers are now six points ahead of the Slickers and Red Rebels with five games to go.

Clovelly Social Club and Liberal Lions are neck and neck at the top of a close Division 2, with Kingsley Potters slipping back to joint second with PDQs, just one point behind the top pair.
