Teams found plenty of goals in the four Senior Division matches, too, none more so than leaders Fremington, who hit 12 without reply away to South Molton.
Currently leading close rivals Torrington by four points, but having played one more match, Fremington were pleased to see their scoring spree also now take them one better than their rivals in the goals-difference column, too.
Their front runners Andy King and Wayne Parkhouse were just too quick in running on to balls over the defence for South Molton to cope with. King struck six goals, Parkhouse three, Mark sanders hit two, including a penalty, and substitute Ron Ellway finished off.
Ashwater continues to surprise in their bid to move away from the bottom of the table.
For a second time they restricted title contenders Combe Martin to a 2-1 scoreline. They took a 1-0 at half-time as Simon Townsend missed a penalty chance for Combe, but could not hold out in the second half as Townsened and Carl Power won their visitors the points.
Bude Town opened with a cracking goal after just three minutes at home to Northam Lions and had the game won in the opening half.
Although a Robbie Crump penalty pulled one back for the Lions they were 4-1 down by the break. The Lions did better in the second half but could manage only a second goal from Crump.
With a couple of players returning to action North Molton Reserves are a tougher proposition than a few weeks ago. They were ahead for much of the game at home to Park United before sharing the points with a 3-3 draw.
Molton were 1-0 ahead in the first half and 2-0 up soon after the break. Although Park pulled one back, Molton scored again to retain command 3-1. But they let it slip in the final five minutes as Park struck twice to earn a point.
Matt Yates, James Tapp and Mico Caddedu were the Molton scorers, with Rob Guppy (2) and Stephen Skinner replying for Park.
