The final weekend of action in the North Devon Gazette Football League saw two titles decided.

Ilfracombe Town Reserves got the points they needed against Shamwickshire Rovers to claim the league title.

The Bluebirds were 4-1 winners over Shammy, beating the side they overcame in the Combe Martin Cup final to secure a league and cup double and promotion to the Premier Division.

Brady Sanders and Mark Gilfillan both struck twice in the win, with Gilfillan’s efforts leaving him just one shy of hitting 50 goals in the league and cup over the course of the season.

Jason McGinley scored for Rovers.

Bluebirds coach Adam Bryant said: “What a successful season for our side to come out with the league and Combe Martin Cup.

“I’ve had the headache of playing and managing for the last three seasons but it all makes it worth it getting to the Premier.”

Sporting Barum are runners-up, and made it back-to-back unbeaten campaigns last night as they beat Combe Martin 6-0.
