It’s all change again at the top of the North Devon Football League’s Premier division after just one game was played on Saturday.

Braunton returned to the top of the pile, beating fellow heavyweights Boca Seniors 3-1 at Lobb Field in one of a handful of games across the four divisions that survived another slew of wet weather.

Boca took the lead through Tom Marsh before CJ Roberts slotted home an equaliser before half-time.

The hosts took charge in the second half and took the lead when Jason Jones converted at close range from a corner.

Roberts wrapped up the win from the penalty spot with a neat finish into Jake Cox’s bottom right corner.

Appledore Reserves returned to the top of the Senior division thanks to a 5-1 win over Ilfracombe Town Thirds.

Ashton Donovan, Matt Fay, Charlie White, Joe Wretham and substitute Mark Cann scored for the Fishermen in the win at Killacleave.

Ray Squire netted for the Bluebirds, who saw Shaun Bryant sent off.

The game was won of three senior games played over the weekend. Kilkhampton picked up their fourth win of the season with a 3-0 win over Northam Lions.

On Sunday, Fremington Reserves moved up to fifth with a 10-0 win over Stratton United.

After Max Holding opened the scoring from the spot, Fremmy moved into a 4-0 half-time lead, with goals coming from Andy King, Sam Phillips and Sam Nash.

They scored six goals in the final 25 minutes, with King and Holding both adding. Phillips scored three more to take his tally to the afternoon to four. They were also assisted by an own goal.

In Intermediate Two, Braunton Fourths moved back up to second place with a 3-1 win over Park Rangers.

Kevin Baddick, Wayne Thomas and Ross Wensley scored the goals for Braunton.

A goal from captain Stewart Stock had brought Rangers – playing with no substitutes and no recognised goalkeeper – back on terms going into the break.
