Bradworthy savour a rare victory against Boca Seniors with last gasp winner.
BOCA Seniors manager Darren Todd said he had no complaints after his side lost a North Devon Gazette Premier Division match for the first time in nine months on Saturday.
After going behind to the champions twice, a late goal by Xien Witt gave visitors Bradworthy a surprise win at the Tarka Tennis Centre.
It was Boca’s first league defeat since going down 3-2 at Appledore Reserves on December 17.
Mark Gilfillan opened the scoring for Boca in the first half before Tudor Placinta equalised 20 seconds after the re-start.
Mark Barrow restored the advantage for the hosts but Tudor was on target again – this time from the spot – to level at 2-2.
Barrow hit the crossbar from a free-kick in the dying minutes but Witt scored the game’s decisive goal with a couple of minutes left on the clock.
Manager Todd said: “They are not a bad side when they do things right and they played well enough to beat us.
“We had chances to win it as well but they deserved it and there are no sour grapes on my part.”
Bideford Reserves took advantage of the slip by going top with a 9-2 thumping of Barnstaple AAC.
It was 2-2 after 20 minutes, Bate striking first for Bideford before Marcus Mahoney levelled three minutes later from the penalty spot.
Aaron Stevens restored the lead for Bideford before Billy Hinson took advantage of some slack marking to level again.
Will Nicholls scored two before the break as the Robins began to pull away. In the second half, Nicholls completed his hat-trick, Phillip Kelly scored two and there were singles for Ben Ford and Thomas Hayne.
Cook and Clarke
Hallum Cook and Mark Clark both scored two each as Appledore Reserves eventually saw off Dolton to record their first win of the season.

Ciaron Lishman had earlier opened the scoring for Chittle’ who found themselves 2-1 down at half-time.
After the interval the visitors equalised through Kyran Jones before Dent’s strike 10 minutes from time.
In the Senior Division Braunton Reserves hammered a weakened South Molton side 9-1.
The Images, who were forced to field a centre half in goal due to an injury to their regular keeper, went 4-1 down at the break, Joel Bearman scoring their only goal.
