Cambridge City 1-1 Bideford
OWEN Howe scored his third goal in two games to earn Bideford a draw at promotion-chasing Cambridge City.
The Wednesday night game was quiet or large stages of the first half, with both sides struggling to create the clear-cut chance that might give them the lead.
Despite the lack of goalmouth action, both teams were playing well and the game sparked into life early in the second half.
Cambridge took the lead in the 57th minute when Beech connected to turn in from a corner.
But just three minutes later, Bideford were level as Owen Howe found the net for the visitors.
It was no less than the Robins deserved, and they might well have picked up all three points after a dominant second-half display.
The draw leaves Bideford two points outside of the play-off places in sixth, with eight games left to play this season.
The Robins now have a week and a half to prepare for their next test, at St Neots Town on Saturday March 29.
