Barnstaple play Witheridge in local preliminary round derby

BARNSTAPLE Town will face local rivals Witheridge in the FA Cup preliminary round.

Town, who finished third in last season’s Toolstation Western League first division will be faced with tricky competition from the Carlsberg Peninsula League premier division outfit, with the winners going on to face Hengrove Athletic or Bodmin Town for a place in the first round qualifying.

Tom Bulley’s Ilfracombe Town will play Shepton Mallet, with the winners taking on Saltash United or Welton Rovers.

Southern League Premier Bideford play one round fewer than Barnstaple or Ilfracombe, facing Buckland Athletic for the right to play Tiverton Town or Plymouth Parkway in first round qualifying.
