Other North Devon League clbs urged to follow suit
ANCHOR Chiefs FC took the rare opportunity of having both teams playing at home this weekend to raise awareness for autism.
Several members of the club all came out to take a picture in their pyjamas in response to a recent social media craze.
Chiefs manager and North Devon League secretary Mick Tattersall was inspired to put on the event on Saturday after seeing his sister post a picture on Facebook of his two nieces and their dad in the pyjamas and onesies to help raise awareness.
The club held the day for Mr Tattersall’s niece, Paige Lewington, who suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome. She was very excited to see what everyone had done to help raise money and awareness to combat the disease.
Mr Tattersall has now nominated all of the other clubs in the league to do the same and help to further raise awareness for a great cause.
